Adjusting to work has been tough (yes, especially being in BEAUTIFUL downtown SF all day)..but I think I'm finally getting to a point where I can draw again...although much slower, since after work and making dinner, I'm not really left with much free time..

But eventually I'll learn to make time for the things I love...

I really don't know why I chose deviant to write this, but here goes!

college is over for me!  Today my saka and I graduated as certified cal poly electrical engineers! (with physics minors to boot!)

We lined up at 8 am, sat with kim, phil, josh, sneha, matt and dan...and listened to boring speeches for 2 hours while all the smart kiddies brought their psp's and ds's to play with. then they did the conferral of degrees, but forgot to ask us poor engineers to stand up >.>, so we chanted "re-do" until they let us. I've never been to a more unorganized, chaos-ridden graduation..and at a state university no less.  

after we took the group picture! (i didn't get a pic with my master's buddies mike and erin..but they will work in the bay area anyway so i'm sure I'll see them..)  The ee ceremony was just as chaotic..but fun!

then home for food and fun with my cousins/relatives/friends. we played a raging game of apples to apples..which saka's brother won..his first time playing...

then they packed up and left me here by myself...i'll pack tomorrow for hawaii..tablet and all..

thursday i leave to spend three weeks on an island with my saka! (and the rest of his family, of course)..it's convenient when they all live there..  I'll get to see two islands, lots of sun and maybe jimmy..if he doesn't leave for alaska to get married first..

then back home to see my roomie get married..then off for more apartment hunting! saka and i found some really really nice ones in millbrae for oh, 2 grand a month...RIDICULOUS... the family thinks we should do it since we can afford it..but...i'd rather save my monies..>.>

in any case! i can't wait to start work! and recieve those monster paychecks at the end of each month!

so kids, the moral of the story is: college is good and profitable in the long run! lol.

time for me to go download some more raunchy shoujo manga...fufufuufuu...

well, originally i wanted to sell magnets and bookmarks and stuff at the artists row...but no one is getting a booth ToT...(I guess I could just buy one myself, but I don't want to sit there by myself during the whole convention...booo)

so now I think I'll just enjoy myself and let the flocks crowd around my bf and I with their cameras.  We will be cosplaying keroro gunsou and and tamama, so lookout for the giant green froggy!

I have to start sewing the cover for the head, actually. Today!  Craig paper mache'd the whole thing with a 48" beach ball as the base. They look FANTASTIC, and they are lightweight enough to wear. (just no going through doors).  I'm hoping the rest of the costume will come out just as nice, but I'm really worried about the ventilation.  Last year as tetris blocks was just HORRIIIBLLEEE...it was like a cardboard oven. I'm hoping it won't be so bad this year, since the newspaper is thin and there will be more holes drilled in it.

now, art related....

I'm working on an entry for the maplestory art contest! the winner gets like, 100 dollars worth of maple money, plushies and a poster of his/her artwork!  so far my progress has been pretty nice, but I found out the size is limited to only 540 pixels wide! and 500kb file size! THATS SO SMALL!  so my original idea is kinda crushed...ToT

I have like fifty billion gaia commisions still..as soon as I finish one another one pops up!  It's good that they are usually all bribed slots, but I'd really like to take a break from avie art and concentrate more on improving my style (and making IRL monies @_@)

so I'll probably be creating a deviant gallery with my gaia-collaber-colorist for that purpose soon.
